Why Fridays?
Friday is the day when Death was forever vanquished. We fast & pray for the Culture of Death to end here in Ferndale. We witness to a Culture of Life by standing in peaceful vigilance.
Why this site? Why not an abortion clinic?
There are no abortions being performed at the Ferndale Planned Parenthood...yet. Abortion begins here, so let it end here. Oral contraceptives provided at this site may prevent implantation of a genetically distinct human individual in the nutrient-rich lining of her mother's womb. God asks us to care for the very least among us, and there is no person smaller than the person who begins his life at the moment of conception.
Why fasting?
God's family has known from time immemorial that some demons can only be driven out by prayer coupled with fasting. These children loved by God are being sacrificed daily; our small offering of foregoing a meal serves as a token of our willingness to suffer in union with them.

Statement of Peace
I will only pursue peaceful solutions to the violence of abortion when
volunteering with the 40 Days for Life campaign. I will show compassion
and reflect God’s love to all Planned Parenthood employees, volunteers,
and customers. I understand that acting in a violent or harmful manner
immediately and completely disassociates me from the 40 Days for Life
campaign. I am in no way associated with Planned Parenthood or any
“family planning” clinic or abortion center or affiliate as an employee,
informant, volunteer, client, or otherwise. I will not obstruct the
driveways or sidewalk while standing in the public right of way. I will
not litter on the public right of way. I will closely attend to any
children I bring to the prayer vigil. I will not threaten, physically
contact, or verbally abuse any abortion facility or Planned Parenthood
employee, volunteer, or customer. I will not vandalize private property.
I will cooperate with local city authorities.
